Social Work Research in the Health Care System
Goals and Contents
The section functions as a network within the dynamic research area of social work in the health care system. Members discuss current research topics, research methods, and research design. The participants' shared interests determine the focus and activities of the group. Possible foci and activities include:
Clinical research in social work:
Intervention research, research on effects, evaluation
Research concepts:
Qualitative and quantitative designs, combination of methods
Utilization of research:
Sharing research results, research-based practice
Interdisciplinary contexts:
Health sciences, research about psychotherapy
Research quality:
Performance criteria for empirical research in the health sciences
Researchers and junior researchers are invited to participate and collaborate.
Group members participate by
discussing current research topics, research methods, and research concepts;
presenting current, completed, or future research projects;
offering workshops at conferences;
collaborating on joint research projects;
getting involved in the research association for clinical social work.
