Section Social Therapy
Goals and Contents
The section »social therapy« is currently in the process of being established. Any members who are interested in further developing and strengthening social therapy as a method in the field of social work are welcome to join.
The tasks and goals of the section's activities include:
developing a theoretical foundation of social therapy;
developing a repertoire of methods for social therapy (anamnesis, diagnostics, intervention, evaluation);
developing and organizing professional development and continuing education events related to social therapy;
conducting research on the effects of social therapy.
This list is not exhaustive; depending on members' interests, other topics may be added.
Group members participate by
forming the section and recruiting new members;
finding out about social therapy related activities;
planning and organizing a day-long continuing education event about social therapy in 2010;
creating sections dedicated to social therapy.
Materials
We are in the process of compiling a collection of texts about social therapy, and welcome additional suggestions.
